As London’s largest further education college group, Capital City College Group has an unrivalled opportunity to shape opportunity and economic prosperity in the heart of the capital. Our ambition is to create a sector-leading organization which transforms lives through exceptional education, training and partnerships.
The group was formed from the merger of City and Islington College, Westminster Kingsway College and the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London. We are now one of the largest college groups in the UK with 37,000 students and a turnover of £113m, including apprenticeship and training provider Capital City College Training. This gives us unique opportunities for growth and ground-breaking development. We already offer an extensive range of vocational, academic, leisure, professional and apprenticeship programmes.
There are many strengths which single us out, including our award-winning provision in culinary arts and rail engineering, our strong partnerships with prominent London stakeholders and our international programmes. Our recently-appointed Group CEO has brought an invigorating and aspirational approach to fulfilling our ambitions of transforming lives and inspiring students, communities and businesses.
We have now created a new role of Executive Principal to lead on establishing a culture of high aspiration, outstanding pedagogy and exceptional learner experience across the group. An inspiring leader internally and externally, this individual will enhance our reach, reputation and influence, create an innovative curriculum, lead outstanding performance and build relationships for successful growth.
Enterprising and inspirational, our successful candidate will have a proven track record of impact on student performance and student experience in a relevant education and training environment, while leading large-scale, successful change and innovation. The ability to create and deliver opportunities with stakeholders and inspire colleagues will be underpinned by exceptional emotional intelligence and integrity.
We are committed to creating and promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce that better reflects the wider community we support. We particularly welcome applicants from groups where we need better representation in senior roles, including Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) groups, people with disabilities and from the LGBTQ+ community.
