EYFS Teaching Assistants Required

Oaklands is an outstanding special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism. New Oaks Primary school is based at our Woodlands Road Site, which will open newly renovated in September 2020.
Due to our rapid and continued expansion, we are looking to appoint highly skilled and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in our primary department with our nursery and reception aged children. Successful applicants will join a team of teaching assistants in a teacher led unit using a key-working model. Each teaching assistant will coordinate the education of 2 or 3 pupils as well as working across the unit in a team.
You must be passionate about working with students with special needs and have previous experience of working in a special school or similar environment. You must be competent with using Makaton signing and symbols for communication and essentially have experience of working with students with autism and complex needs. We believe that all of our students are capable of making outstanding progress and we want to appoint individuals who share our belief. Pay Scale: Hounslow Pay Scale 5 Point 11 to Point 15
Actual Salary: £19,023 - £20,440 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, term time only
Hours of work: 33 hours per week
8am to 3pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.30pm Friday
Induction: The successful candidate will need to attend a pre-employment induction
