Education Impact Academy Trust is a newly created MAT incorporating Wilson Stuart School, Queensbury School and sponsoring 1 additional high needs school through the academisation process. Wilson Stuart School is an Ofsted designated outstanding all age (2 – 25 years) Special School which provides very high-quality education for 232 pupils and young people who have physical disabilities, and/or complex medical conditions. Queensbury School provides for 245 students who have MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) and SEMH (Social Emotional and Mental Health). Wilson Stuart School have achieved an Outstanding grade in their last 6 Ofsted inspections and in their last 3 inspections, the latest of which was March 2019, they were graded as outstanding in every single aspect of the inspection.
We recognise the importance of teamwork and this is evident through all aspects of the work we do. Our students are delightful, work hard and are keen to learn and both schools are very happy and positive working environments. Qualified Teachers – MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance + TLR 2/2
Start date: September 2021
The successful candidate will be accountable to the Head of Primary with responsibility for curriculum, achievements and standards. This is a management post which carries with it membership of the schools Management Team.
The successful candidate will be able to:
• Lead on sustainable improvement in the EYFS in line with national and legal requirements, school vision aims, objectives, policies and procedures to share and collaborate in approaches that will support success in your own areas for pupils.
• Raise standards of pupils attainment and achievement within EYFS
• Be accountable for pupil progress and development within the EYFS
• Monitor, develop and enhance the teaching practice of other members of staff.
• Review performance of members of staff as appropriate.
• Participate in whole school policy development, implementation, evaluating and monitoring as part of the management of the school.
• Provide a strategic overview with regard to national and local initiatives in relation to curriculum areas
