Learning Support Assistant
Hours: 27.5 hours per week, term time only, no INSET days
Contract: Fixed Term Contract from 1 Sept 2022 to 31 August 2023 or the child’s departure from school, whichever is the earliest.
Salary: JG3, £19,312 - £19,698 per annum, pro rata
Actual Salary: £12,277.14 to £12,522.26 per annum
St Andrew’s is a successful Church of England Primary School operating at the heart of the local community with proven dedication to its pupils and staff. We are an accredited Thrive school, passionate about supporting all of our children with their emotional and social development as well as their academic progress. We require an enthusiastic and creative LSA to join our team and support a child in EYFS in receipt of Top Up Funding for medical needs. The post is term time only with no attendance on INSET days. Daily working hours are 8.45am to 3:15pm with a one-hour unpaid lunch.
We are looking for a strong team player to work both under the direction of the class teacher and from their own initiative to ensure the best support of the child and class. The successful candidate will support a child who has learning difficulties requiring a differentiated curriculum and speech and language support. Good levels of English and mathematics are essential alongside the ability to engage effectively with children, staff and parents to nurture pupil development.
