The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the line management of the Premises Teams across the CLF and will need to be mobile across each of our Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset Academies. Working to the Head of Projects & Estates, who will provide strategic leadership and direction, the Facilities Manager will ensure robust estate management systems, processes and procedures are in place and that records are accurate and up to date.
This role will contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the CLF Estates strategy and working with the Health and Safety Team, will maintain an appropriate Health and Safety culture ensuring all relevant Health and Safety regulations and guidelines are always adhered to.
The post holder will have experience of managing sites or facilities management and related health and safety activities. They will have experience in asset management systems, working with, and supervising contractors and contract management processes. Evidence of formal training in areas such as COSHH, IOSH, Manual Handling and Fire Safety is essential as well as recognised training/qualification in premises management.
The successful candidate will be confident in building excellent work relationships with the premises teams, federation, colleagues and external contractors. They will be able to use their initiative, be able to work to set deadlines but also be flexible and adaptable to deal with changing priorities and ad hoc issues as they arise. They will be able to make good, informed, quick decisions, and able to apply regulations such as health and safety, manual handling and COSHH.

About the Academy & Cabot Learning Federation
The Cabot Learning Federation is the largest non-diocesan academy group in the South West. We currently are sponsoring academies in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Weston-Super-Mare; six secondary, eight primary, one all-through academy and a Studio School. The Federation also has an overarching CLF Post 16 and specialist inclusion centres. Together we educate over 9000 children between the ages of 3 and 19 and the Federation is a major Teaching School in the South West.
