Hours: 37 hours per week | Term Time + 1 week

Salary: Grade 7, Points 19-22 (actual salary £25,307 - £27,667)
To work in conjunction with the senior leadership team to improve the attendance and engagement of targeted students by providing focused practical and emotional support to those with students and families with complex needs. The candidate will work to build positive relationships with families in order to support the children’s needs. They must have an understanding of current and relevant safeguarding procedures.
We are looking to appoint a skilled and experienced Family Support Worker to provide an exceptional level of support to our students and their families. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Assistant Heads of Year as well as our Designated Safeguarding Leads and Assistant Principals responsible for Behaviour, Attendance and Safeguarding. We want to help our students to build confidence and inspire them to reach their goals. You will build trusting and professional relationships with targeted students and their families in order to break down barriers to attendance and engagement at Orchard Mead Academy.
The ideal candidate will have experience with working with young people, have excellent interpersonal skills and have experience in completing administrative tasks. We are looking for an individual who has experience of working effectively with children and young people in a learning environment and an awareness of child protection issues.
