Family Support Worker for the SILC Cluster
Pay range C3 (point 19-22) - starting salary approx. £21,867
1 x Permanent, 1 x Temporary for 12 months in the first instance
Term time only (39 weeks per year)
Full time 37 hours

The SILC Cluster is seeking to appoint 2 Family Support Workers to join its ever-expanding team, 1 x Permanent and 1 x temporary for 12 months in the first instance. The cluster serves the following specialist provisions across the city:
- West SILC
- East SILC
- Broomfield South SILC
- Green Meadows Academy
- Penny Field School
- The Lighthouse (free school)
Our specialist provisions cater for pupils between the ages of 2 and 19 with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, on specialist sites and mainstream partnership schools.
The SILC cluster consist of a Targeted Service Leader; SEND coordinator; Intensive Specialist Support Worker; Attendance Support Worker; Family Support Workers and commissioned parent and child therapists provided by Northpoint. The Team works in an integrated way with schools and other agencies in order to meet the needs of children, young people and their families who attend one of the above schools. The post holder will bring to the team experience and expertise in the engagement of families whose presenting issues are entrenched and whose needs are multi-faceted.
In order to be able to fulfil the commitments of this role, you must be a car user, as we are a city-wide provision. We do have an office space in Leeds 8 when required (hot desking).
