FRENCH LANGUAGE ASSISTANT
Permanent | Part Time | 7 or 8 hours per week | 40 weeks per year.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic French Language Assistant for January 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter, to conduct French Conversational lessons to small groups of children in our Senior Department (Years 6 to 8) with the aim of developing their French speaking and listening skills. The successful candidate will be passionate about the language and be able to instil confidence in the pupils that encourages them to test and hone their skills.
The successful candidate will be fluent in conversational French and ideally, competent in another MFL language. Inspirational, friendly and approachable, they will be able to develop good relations with children, staff and the wider school community.
Ashfold is an established co-educational Preparatory School for around 280 children aged 3 - 13+ set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty-acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside just twenty minutes from Oxford, Thame and Aylesbury.
The school has expanded significantly over the last fifteen years and invested heavily in its infrastructure and support systems. We aim to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects, within a small caring family community where children both know each other and all of the staff.
