One Year Fixed Term Contract | Term Time Only
Required: 1 September 2021 - 31 August 2022
Do you want to be part of a dynamic boarding and wider school team that aims to deliver a broad and creative curriculum to pupils? If you do, Ashfold School in Dorton village may be the place for your employment venture. We are looking to appoint a GAP Student to help on the boarding wing, in the classroom and/or on the sports field.
Working with the boarding team, the successful candidates will help create a warm and welcoming environment for our older pupils who choose to board with us. Demonstrating their prowess on the Xbox, participating in the table football league, chatting over pizza and a DVD or simply making toast and muffins for pre-bedtime snacks, they will have a genuine understanding of the life of a boarder. The day-time curriculum will then enable the candidates to demonstrate their other natural skills and talents whether this be in the classroom or on the sports field, supporting teachers to deliver an exciting curriculum that engages the pupils and encourages them to aim high. Although not exclusive, these opportunities are ideally suited to those who although may be deferring higher education, are considering a future career in education and/or sport.
Ashfold is an established co-educational Preparatory School for around 260 children aged 3 - 13+ set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty- acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside just twenty minutes from Oxford, Thame and Aylesbury.
The school has expanded significantly over the last fifteen years and invested heavily in its infrastructure and support systems. We aim to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects, within a small caring family community where children both know each other and all of the staff.
Application Closing date: 9 am on Monday 19 April 2021
