Our energetic and passionate PE department is looking for an excellent teacher to join our School from September 2019 as maternity cover.
You will deliver an exciting programme of Sport through lessons that motivate and challenge students to achieve their best. You will be working with pupils from Reception to Year 11 and will also be required to contribute to our extra-curricular provision outside of lesson times. Knowledge of the teaching and the video assessments of the IGCSE PE is a necessity.

B: Teaching Duties
Staff have a responsibility to:
Teach Physical Education; promote, coordinate and participate in sports activities throughout the school year.
Plan and prepare lessons in advance in collaboration with colleagues and ensure that learning is kept with curriculum targets
Carry out assessment procedures and marking policies as outlined
Record and report on the development, progress and attainment of children including initial meetings with parents to discuss attainment and progress
Keep a disciplined class whilst promoting the general well-being of children
Organise PE / Sport workshops for staff and parents when appropriate
Participating in the provision of co-curricular activities including liaising with other schools and clubs to arrange fixturesMaintain resources to the required safety standards and renew, as necessary within the budgetary allowance
Book Sports facilities (Like swimming pools, fields, tennis courts) and carry out the necessary administration as required.
To contribute to the relevant area of the school’s website.
To contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.
Such other duties that the Head Teacher may reasonably and from time to time require.
To read Staff Handbook, weekly bulletin and follow general directions
To contribute to the pastoral care of all pupils and support their spiritual, social and moral development
To carry out share of supervision duties in accordance with published rotas
To attend meetings, e.g. staff meetings, parents’ evenings, open days, etc. as directed by the Headteacher or Head of Department
To participate in appraisal procedure
To be familiar with the Health and Safety Policy and be responsible for the safety of pupils
