Badminton School in partnership with Hartpury University offer employment as a
Graduate Strength and Conditioning Coach.
This role is designed for someone wishing to combine the position with enrolment onto an MSc Strength and Conditioning programme at Hartpury University.
Successful candidates will receive meals and teaching experience. Candidates looking to gain additional experience in order to access the teaching profession should also apply.
The offer of employment with Badminton school will also include the payment of the MSc Strength and Conditioning fees (currently capped at £9,000) during the period of time you will be employed. All fees will be paid directly to Hartpury University.
Education and Qualifications
Applicants must be enrolled at Hartpury University and working towards an MSc Strength and Conditioning
degree. Applicants should have a minimum of a 2:2 or above in an undergraduate strength and conditioning
degree that is endorsed by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity.
Applicants should have experience of working with young people in some capacity and should have some
knowledge of how to enthuse, lead and manage teams and groups. Additionally, applicants should have
experience of providing strength and conditioning support to youth athletes.
Knowledge and Understanding
Applicants should demonstrate a clear understanding of both the theoretical and practical considerations for
strength and conditioning in youth and be willing to develop their understanding of the P.E. curriculum.
Teaching and Learning
Applicants must be motivated to work with young people, be able to form and maintain appropriate relationships
with pupils and establish personal boundaries, have emotional resilience and be able to maintain good order.

and efficient in organising their workload and managing their time effectively. They will be competent in the use
of IT. They will work well in a team and be responsive to advice and guidance.
