Due to maternity leaves starting or finishing this academic year in our team, we are seeking to appoint hardworking and friendly Graduated Response Practitioners with successful experience of working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues, for a fixed term of 1 year until the 31 August 2021. We have 2 posts available one 34 hours per week and one 17.5 hours per week. Please state which role you are applying for in your application.
You will be committed to providing high quality, inclusive provision and be able to share your skills, expertise and knowledge across the schools in Leicestershire. You will be skilled in delivering a range of interventions and adapting work to make it engaging and accessible. This is the work you will share with teachers and teaching assistants throughout the county to give them the skills, knowledge and positive attitude to keep children with SEMH issues within their schools. We are looking for dedicated and caring people who work well as part of a team whilst using their initiative when working independently. Staff who have worked in our team, are highly sort after by mainstream schools, so this is an ideal opportunity to develop skills to progress your career.
The team is based in two new facilities in Shepshed and Earl Shilton. You can be deployed to either as demand requires, as well as working with primary and SEMH schools across the count preventing exclusion, preparing and supporting reintegration. Our team are a professional group of colleagues who always go the extra mile for their pupils. You will have regular in school / out of school training to develop both your skills and your career. You will be working with a group of very supportive colleagues who work creatively and collaboratively as a team and are both passionate and enthusiastic, despite the pressures of the job.
These are fixed term contracts, working 39 weeks per year term time only, which includes training days. Travel expenses are paid, but you are expected to travel to schools across the County in your own time.
