This is an exciting opportunity to help lead improvements in standards in our large, fully staffed and very well resourced Art Department where Art, Graphics & Photography are taught to A Level. St Laurence is a popular and highly successful 11-18 school with excellent working conditions in a beautiful part of the country, close to the heritage city of Bath.
The Art & Design department consists of part-time and full-time staff delivering Art, Photography and Graphics. In addition, there is an Art technician to support teaching staff and students across all key stages. There is currently an Acting Head of Department with responsibility for Art, Photography and Graphics.
The Art department aims to develop students’ abilities through a variety of media; to prepare students for a rapidly changing technological society and give them an understanding of aesthetics, social, cultural and environmental issues, function and industrial practices.
