An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to become the Head of Department for Construction, Apprentices and
Adult at City Skills College. The Centre of Excellence for Construction and BES is a high performing department which offers a wide variety of trades and provision. The successful candidate will be responsible for the outcomes of the apprenticeship delivery, for both our WBL department and external partners, the adult evening provision and a team of excellent technicians within each trade area.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic and outstanding teacher who has a professional and innovative approach to achieving excellence
in teaching and learning. They must have experience of implementing quality improvement strategies, have the ability to demonstrate an excellent understanding and experience of monitoring and evaluating performance indicators in order to put in place strategies that will
improve attendance, achievement rates and value added progress measures.
They will be forward-thinking, creative and committed to providing the very best learning experiences for our students. They will also show
that they have excellent communication and organisational skills and an ability to work well with others.
