Coedcae School is a highly successful 11-16 comprehensive school of 858 pupils serving the urban community of Llanelli in south west Wales. The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a forward-thinking and inspirational individual to complement the strong team of middle leaders within the school.
We are looking to appoint a highly effective, passionate and inspiring Curriculum Lead for English. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire pupils and model excellence in teaching and learning. Both as a team player and team leader, you will support and challenge colleagues to excel. You will be passionate about English, with strong leadership skills and high expectations and ambition for every one of our pupils. You will be an outstanding practitioner with a proven track record of implementing and delivering a creative curriculum for English that inspires and fulfils young people.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop the English curriculum at our School within the framework and opportunities of Curriculum for Wales 2022. Working with colleague middle leaders across the Area of Learning and Experience of Languages, Literacy and Communication, you will draw on your drive, creativity and expertise to ensure that our new curriculum is engaging, dynamic and meets the needs of current and future learners.
You will become part of a dynamic and supportive staff team across our School. The English department is a strong, cohesive team, consisting of subject specialist teachers, and a team of Literacy Intervention Officers.
