Where you’ll work: This is a multi-sited role, primarily based at Dartford.
Your pay: £55,000 per annum.
Your hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
Your employment: Full time, permanent.
With exciting changes happening at North Kent College following our joining with Hadlow and West Kent Colleges, we’ve created a brand-new role within the Estates department to steer provision, strategies and compliance across all sites.
You’ll be a key senior member of our management team, reporting directly to the Deputy Principal for Finance & Resources and assisting with the development of the Estates strategy to ensure response to wider aims and plans.
You’ll be a natural communicator with excellent commercial and legislative awareness, able to motivate your team to achieve the highest quality service provision for all stakeholders. You’ll also be adept at building and maintaining positive working relationships with contractors, negotiating with skill to ensure the best possible outcomes, especially during procurement and tendering processes.
Solid experience of managing an Estates team which delivers services via both directly employed and third-party contract staff is essential, and you’ll also have a proven track record of successfully delivering large projects on time and within budget. The ability to drive change, bolster existing processes and manage competing priorities is a must.
You won’t be afraid to challenge people’s ideas when needed, and your own to check strategies are working. Last but not least, you’ll bring enthusiasm to make this key position your own.
In return, we’ll give you 37 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, and you’ll be enrolled onto the Local Government Pension Scheme which also includes life assurance. You’ll also benefit from free parking and have access to a range of onsite facilities including a nursery, restaurants and coffee shops.
