Group 1 (L10-18) £52,723 - £63,508
This is more than just a Headship appointment – it is also an opportunity to help build an exemplar model of progressive education that can challenge existing educational practice and inspire existing and prospective parents.
The Bristol Steiner School is looking for an inspirational leader who has an excellent track record of school improvement, who has strong pedagogical practice, and who will be committed to ensuring that all pupils achieve. But in addition to this we are looking for the person who can build on the success of the current Head teacher, to take the school into the next stage of its development.
This next stage will be focussed on the three key priorities
- Working with the Leadership of Kindergarten and Primary to take the school from ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’
- Working with the Business Development and Admissions Manager to market the school to increase numbers of pupils on roll in the Primary section to 80
- Working with the Trustees to develop the school as a Research Centre to explore how the best educational thinking from the Waldorf School Movement, nationally and internationally, can be developed alongside the educational philosophy informed by human scale/urban village schooling
Our school was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in November 2019 in all areas, since then we have further embedded and strengthened our ways of working, our culture and overall teaching practices. The successful candidate will be a true champion of best practice and inclusion, striving for the very best educational provision and will be supported by a strong, committed Leadership Team and Board of Trustees.
Detailed applications are warmly invited from interested parties who truly understand and are excited by the school’s current position and context and can envisage the opportunity it offers the right candidate.
Enquiries to discuss the unique nature or our school with our Chair of Trustees or current Headteacher are warmly encouraged. Please contact us by email to organise a convenient time and date.
Contact details can be located within the 'Apply Now' section; please log in or register to view.
Applicants do not need to have a Waldorf Educational background but sympathy with the values and educational thinking that inform policy and practice in the school is essential.
