Do you have the vision to launch a new Independent School in Harrow, London?
A unique, once in a lifetime, opportunity has arisen to be the first Headteacher of a brand-new school being established by the charity, Positive Behaviour Support for Learning.
We are looking for a dynamic leader to develop and grow a school, for children and young people aged 11 to 19.
The Headteacher will be engaged in recruiting the staff for the school, defining the curriculum, and developing the full range of provision for our young people. We have a hugely ambitious desire to open the school to the first children in January 2022 and so we would want our new head to be involved and engaged in the development work as soon as possible.
The Headteacher will work closely with the Board of Trustees to shape, develop and strengthen the work and reach of the school in securing outstanding outcomes for all pupils.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of outstanding teaching, leadership & management experience, and a comprehensive understanding of SEND needs and in particular Autism. They will have the ability to inspire and develop skilled staff, hold staff to account and to maintain a supportive and aspirational culture within the school. They will be solution focussed, resilient and an exceptional communicator. They will have the ability to demonstrate high-level organisation and operational management skills.
The successful candidate will be able to confidently analyse and act upon data and information, both internal and national to maintain and continuously develop the highest quality of education for pupils. They will be astute with sound evaluative and development planning skills. The successful candidate will be inspirational, influential, and committed to working as part of a rapidly growing special school.
