A fantastic opportunity to lead a successful prep school with a friendly community feel and close links with Eton College.
Eton End offers a first-class education to just under 250 children aged 3 to 11, combining a family-style nurturing environment with high quality teaching that achieves excellent academic results without undue stress. Located in a six-acre campus by the banks of the Thames near Windsor, the school is a visibly happy place with first-class staff and some very good facilities.
The current Head has been offered a significant promotion to one of central London’s largest prep schools, and we are now seeking a successor who can build on her many achievements. This is a truly excellent first or second headship for what the Governors call “someone caring with a bit of an edge to them”.
What this means is that you will love the school just as they do, be ambitious for the school and the children just as they are, and find new ways of further sharpening the school, but without destroying what makes it a truly special and magical place. If appointed, you will build on an almost full roll, a strong local reputation, and some exciting plans for further expansion. You’ll find the Governors enthusiastic and supportive and you’ll work with a dedicated and hard-working can-do Bursar, a dedicated and hard-working senior team and a dedicated and hard-working staff team, all of whom know what they are doing and enjoy doing it.
If you are an experienced Head, Deputy or similar, this is your chance to move to a school that really adds value and where people smile because they want to, not because they are told to. Apart from huge personal and professional satisfaction, an excellent reward package is on offer.
