The governors of Elm Park Primary School are looking for a confident, compassionate and creative headteacher to lead the school at this very exciting point in its journey. The successful candidate will need to lead the school, alongside managing a new school build. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and visionary individual to impact on the lives of pupils, staff and the wider school community.
In return for your clear direction and confident communication, you will be rewarded with hard working staff who value a child centred approach to leadership; a headteacher that leads with energy and enthusiasm who will take time to know and value the whole team. Our pupils seek a headteacher who will provide wide ranging opportunities for them across all areas of the curriculum. They would like a leader who is friendly, interested in them and is on hand to help them with any problems they may have.
The school has an active and supportive parent body who are keen to continue their hard work to bring about the best outcomes for their children. They are looking for a leader who is passionate about what they do and able to communicate this through the whole school community. They want inclusivity to be valued and a headteacher who is committed to provide the best for all pupils at the school. As headteacher of Elm Park Primary School, you will inspire and enrich the lives of a whole community.
In November 2019, Ofsted rated the school as ‘Good’, recognising that the school brings ‘learning to life’ and the school’s focus on ‘no child left behind’. Whilst learning is at the centre of all we do, we are also seeking a leader of change who achieves school improvement with effective financial management. The successful candidate will embrace innovation whilst demonstrating clarity with communication of their vision.
If you are an experienced senior leader with the drive and ambition to build on our existing achievements to take our whole school forward, and you care as much as we do about making our school the best it be, we would love to hear from you.
During this time, we are able to offer limited visits to the school at the following dates and times. Tours will be in line with government guidance that is in place. We will do all we can to give you a flavour of our school and the opportunity to ask questions.
Tour dates: Tuesday 7th July and Tuesday 14th July at 4pm
Closing date for applications: 25th August 2020
Shortlisting: 1st September 2020
Interview dates: 14th and 15th September 2020
