Salary Range: L18 – L24A, £62,426 - £71,590 (salary range flexibility available for an exceptional candidate)
Our current Head Teacher is retiring at the end of the Summer Term, after 15 years of successful leadership of our Academy. We are seeking to appoint a new Head Teacher to lead the next exciting phase of the development of excellence in The Milford Academy and our Milford Community. Milford is a stand-alone academy comprising 420 primary places and a 60-place Nursery, We are a founding member of the Nottingham Schools Trust, an alliance of Nottingham schools focused on improving education and life outcomes for the City’s children.
Milford’s Staff and Governors are committed to building on our Ofsted judgement of Good in all areas and we are utterly focused on ensuring that all our children reach their potential. Our children continue to make good progress in their learning but we know we can still improve. Our new Head Teacher will lead a school where the staff and children and Governors work hard together to achieve while treating everyone with respect and tolerance.
The Governors are looking for a new Head Teacher who is an Outstanding Leader with a proven track record of successfully providing education for the whole child and who is enthusiastic in their determination to drive the Academy forward. We are looking for creativity and enthusiasm in their strategic and operational approach to the leadership of the Academy, with a clear focus on continuous improvement, and a determination to further enhance our ethos, vision and values.
Our new Head will be skilled in further developing and maintaining strong staff and leadership teams committed to the pursuit of excellence of all our children and their community; the capacity to foster effective relationships with all our stakeholders is essential.
