This is an exciting role for either an experienced Headteacher or a talented, ambitious Deputy Head. Trafalgar has benefited from 28 years of strong leadership provided by our previous Headteacher who retired earlier this year.
Since federating, the school has undergone a transformation, with alignment of senior leadership, new governance, and adaptation to the new Ofsted framework. This post offers a considerable, exciting opportunity to make a significant impact as our new Headteacher and take ownership of leading the next stage of Trafalgar’s journey.
As we are a federated school with diverse challenges and multiple stakeholders, this role is unique and requires effective proven management skills. Individually, our Infant school is Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ and our Juniors Ofsted ‘RI’. Alongside staff, parents, pupils, and governors, the new Head must clearly identify and develop effective strategies in areas where we need to improve. Alongside inspiring and leading the team to build on our excellent, proven strengths, they must ensure that we continue to deliver the best for our children.
We are therefore seeking a highly motivated, experienced and energetic Headteacher to help us achieve these aims - as well as our broader vision of ‘Believe, Inspire, Achieve’ - delivering the collective aspirations for our children, staff and the wider community at Trafalgar. More detailed information on these ambitions and the requirements of the role can be found in the attached application pack. We believe that the successful candidate will find this a highly rewarding experience and we look forward to welcoming them into our community
The closing date for receipt of applications is 12pm on Monday November 9 2020.
Interviews will be held on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 November 2020.
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
