Full-time (37 hours per week, term-time only) and permanent
Salary GLPC F 20 – 24 (£25,295 pa FTE to £27,905 pa FTE)
NOR 364 (two-form entry). Growing to 420 by September 2021

We are establishing a brand new role in school as an ASD specialist HLTA with a focus on cognition and learning to join our innovative in-house provision. This is an ideal position for a highly experienced and specialist Teaching Assistant with substantial experience working with pupils with a variety of ASD and related challenges in the classroom and a passion for improving the outcomes of pupils with SEN. We would welcome applications from experienced practitioners who are looking to expand their knowledge and experience of SEN.
Your role will be to oversee our specialist enhanced provision working with a group of pupils with ASD pathway needs and similar complexities. Leading a team of experienced TAs, you will be encouraging and supporting individual pupils to reach their full potential. This will include co-ordinating with class teachers and developing ‘The Hub’ with your team, alongside the SenCo. Mentoring their day-to-day access to the curriculum, you will be working alongside pupils, teachers and colleague TAs in the classroom, further enhancing learning opportunities in our specially resourced ‘Hub’. You will demonstrate a creative and determined attitude that will help motivate pupils. You will be directly supporting the pupils, as well as helping to organise the teaching and learning resources available to pupils and staff.
