HOURLY PAID LECTURER – ESOL
Fixed Term – June 2020
£17.89 - £32.75 per hour
Approx. 15 hours per week
The School of Creative Industries at Newport Campus is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated lecturer to join a large and established ESOL team.
Applicants must have teaching and assessing experience in ESOL, and understand the variety of learners’ circumstances on ESOL programmes. Ideally applicants will have experience of delivering Entry 1 to Level 1 qualifications. You should also hold a teaching qualification, or be prepared to obtain one within a specified time scale.
Skills in teamwork as well as working on own initiative, motivating and inspiring learners, developing a learner focused curriculum and the ability to continually improve the learning experience will be essential.
There is a variety of teaching hours available with daytime and twilight sessions offered throughout the week.
Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will not be treated less favourably than applications submitted in English.
The ability to use the Welsh language at basic level (or willingness to undertake training) is desirable.
