We are looking for an experienced BSL Interpreter to support Deaf and Hearing Impaired colleagues in school. The successful candidates will work with staff to enable an accessible working environment. The funding for this role is dependent on funding from Access to Work.
The applicant should have:
- Proven ability to interpret BSL/English and English/BSL
- The ability to work flexibly and to use own initiative
- The ability to travel between sites
- High expectations
- Good spoken English skills
- Excellent organisational skills
As a minimum, candidates will have completed NVQ Level 6 and interpreting units (or equivalent) and will be registered as an RSLI.
A minimum of A-C GCSE English is required.
