This role is specific to an identified pupil with a particular learning need. The post holder is required to work with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of the identified individual pupil whilst also promoting the pupil’s independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
What will the apprentice be doing?
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.
- Helping an identified pupil with additional needs in class to make maximum progress, by explaining the lesson, demonstrating techniques and supporting differentiated work.
- Planning and collaborating with teaching to staff to ensure lessons are accessible and differentiated in line with the needs of the identified pupil.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Possibility of a full time role within the school on completion of the apprenticeship.
