An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and energetic teacher to support the Maths and English Department to deliver high quality teaching across the vocational areas of the college.
Reaseheath College is one of the UK’s leading specialist land-based colleges. With over 2000 full-time students, we have an enviable setting amongst 330 hectares of farms, parklands, lake, woodland and sports facilities. Therefore, you will not find a more inspiring place to teach. As one of the top 10% colleges in England for qualification success rates and progression into higher education or employment, you will not find a bigger commitment to student achievement either.
If you share that commitment, we need you to help support us in promoting the importance of Maths and English across the College and raising the standard of Maths delivery from our centralised Maths and English Department. Many of the students you will teach are GCSE re-takers so the ability to inspire and motivate is key, along with patience and the ability to build good rapports with students. You may also be required to teach Functional Skills Maths. The team also deliver L3 Core Maths so there may be the opportunity to be involved in the delivery of this qualification.
You will possess a minimum of a Degree level qualification (not necessarily in Maths) and a recognized teaching qualification.
In return, you can look forward to a great range of benefits including final salary pension scheme, free parking and the use of college facilities including our gym and Learning Resource Centre. As an Investor in People organisation, we also provide ongoing training and development opportunities within this supportive and friendly environment.
With an ambitious £35 million capital investment programme in place, there has never been a better time to join Reaseheath College.
