Blossom House is an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ specialist school for children aged 3 – 19 years of age with speech, language and communication difficulties. Although many of the children have some associated difficulties such as fine motor problems or poor organisational skills, they are all within the average range of cognitive abilities.
Permanent, part-time (3 days per week)
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified Integrative Psychotherapist to join our Arts Therapy Team. Please only apply if you are registered as an Integrative Psychotherapist.
As well as maintaining a clinical caseload you will also be required to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team of Speech & Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Dramatherapists, Music Therapists and Art Psychotherapists. The school seeks to maximise each child’s potential by offering a nurturing and supportive environment.
You will also be responsible for attending departmental meetings and peer supervision sessions, report writing, arranging and delivering training (where appropriate) and communicating with parents and external services where necessary.

The ideal candidate will have:
Applicants should be registered with BACP or UKCP as a Child and Adolescent Integrative Psychotherapist.
Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning.
Excellent reading, writing and numeracy skills.
The ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers.
The confidence to deliver individual and small group work to students with speech, language and communication needs.
Experience of working with complex SEN and SEMH needs.
Completed all relevant training and qualifications and hold current accreditation.
Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience of managing a caseload across different age ranges.
The role is permanent, part-time
(3 days per week) to be worked between Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
9 weeks (27 days) holiday plus pro-rata bank holidays
Annual salary: Competitive Market Rate (dependent on experience)
