IT Systems and Infrastructure Technician
£26,443 - £28,236 per annum dependant on experience
Full time (with working hours’ flexibility to support weekend and evening events and be part of the emergency rota for out of hours contact duties at defined times)
Working in a fast paced IT Department you will be responsible for ensuring that IT systems and infrastructure enhances the business strategic objectives and processes of the College. This will include supporting and developing systems and staff, assisting with maintaining and developing all internal, hosted and virtualised IT infrastructures alongside our outsourced IT support partners. You will be key in supporting and lead the development of the college intranet, web based applications including VLE, MS 365 and media systems as well as supporting the helpdesk function.
Educated to A level or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role you will also have experience of managing, maintaining and enhancing Microsoft and VMware environments within a multi-site organisation. As an experienced systems technician you will possess excellent all round knowledge of IT; network, domain, Exchange Server, Active Directory, MS 365 administration and configuration, security awareness and good hardware knowledge as well as being committed to delivering exceptional customer service. You will also have strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and have excellent attention to detail.
