Salary: Scale 6/SO1, £26,724 - £30,708 per annum inclusive of London Weighting Allowance.
Hours: 36 hours per week Monday to Friday, all year round.
Location: Across all College centres.
Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust (OHC&AT) is a family of schools and college centres that work together to enable pupils to achieve their maximum potential in their local communities. There are currently 7 sites in total for Orchard Hill College which provide both full and part-time courses to 16+ learners with severe/profound and multiple learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Our College centres are operating from Beaconsfield centre at New Malden, BedZed centre at Hackbridge, VPC centre at Carshalton, Vocational centre at Wandworth, Lomond centre at Camberwell, Wyvern centre at Uxbridge and Quadrant House at Sutton. There are 14 Schools within Orchard Hill College Academy Trust for children with special education needs including physical disabilities, Autism, PMLD, MLD and SEMH needs.
Working with our local communities, we facilitate the growth of independence, the achievement of every pupil/student’s potential to encourage a positive and successful future.
You will be required to actively support our students who are looking for work to access work placements and progress into paid employment, providing them with job search skills, support within work placements and in the classroom in order to facilitate their achievement of identified goals. You will demonstrate innovative approaches to employer engagement through marketing and promotion in order to identify and secure potential opportunities, and co-ordinate with other Job Coaches to ensure that each student is provided with the appropriate levels of support.
You must have experience of working effectively with students with barriers to learning as well as establishing networks and developing, managing and delivering projects with various stakeholders and delivering programmes of activities with young people both individually and in groups which enables them to pursue their learning to enhance their future development. You must also be able to analyse data and produce concise reports, be self-motivated to manage your own workload and meet strict deadlines with minimum supervision.
