St Catherine’s Primary School where, “Pupils have boundless energy and enthusiasm for learning...” (OFSTED Dec 2018) and “The school is like an extended family where everyone knows each other and looks after one another...” (Parent 2018)
After a very successful Ofsted inspection (December 2018), the staff and governors of St Catherine's are offering an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated and friendly team.
We are looking for a Key Stage 1 or key Stage 2 teacher who has a love for teaching, believes strongly in engaging every pupil in a way that makes learning fascinating, and who would relish becoming part of a supportive, committed, friendly teaching team. If this is you: Welcome to St Catherine’s!
In this full-time role, you will deliver inspiring lessons with patience, resourcefulness and high expectations of both learning and behaviour.
You will be joining a team of committed staff who make sure that every child feels valued and is provided with a curriculum that is stimulating, creative and child centred. Following our successful OFSTED inspection, this is a great time to join St Catherine's and be a part of our continuing journey to be the best we can be.
Together, with our sister parish school, St Mary’s, St Catherine’s educates the children of St Mary’s Parish in Swindon. We work together as a collaborative partnership with an Executive Headteacher. This ensures a close working partnership between the schools and presents wider opportunities for staff and for professional development.
Applications are welcome from NQTs and experienced teachers who are practicing Catholics or non-Catholics who support the Christian ethos of our school. This is initially a fixed term one year contract with the possibility of being made permanent in the future.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please telephone the office to make an appointment.
The closing date is: 9am on Thursday 20th June 2019. Applications will be reviewed on submission to the school.
St Catherine’s Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to a range of employment checks and an enhanced DBS.
