KS 2 Drama Teacher – Commencing September 2020, PART TIME (approx 0.2)
Applications are invited for the part-time post of KS2 Drama Teacher, to join a non-selective 3-11 independent preparatory school for girls and boys in Isleworth, Middlesex.
Ashton House School has a warm and caring atmosphere where pupils can flourish; we put great emphasis on the personal development of each individual. Our pupils benefit from an enhanced curriculum with PE, Music, French and Drama led by subject specialists. The school is also strong in academic achievement; we expect good results from our students in all subjects.
We are seeking an exceptional and committed Drama teacher to join our Upper School. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, organised and creative, preferably with considerable experience of teaching although applications are welcomed from NQTs.
Applicants will be expected to produce and direct the Upper School Drama production in a professional performance space, at the end of the Summer Term and to prepare classes for a performance at Speech Day. Working closely with the Music Teacher applicants are expected to contribute to the spoken word elements of our annual Carol Concert.
Ideally you will also run our very popular co-curricular LAMDA classes after school.
In return, we offer you a happy working environment with enthusiastic children in small classes, supportive parents and a great team of colleagues. As an independent school we have a slightly longer school day (pupils attend 8.15 am-3.40pm) but enjoy a generous 16 weeks of school holidays. A free, home-cooked lunch is available to all staff each day in term time.
This is a permanent role, starting September 2020.
