Primary School Teacher - KS1 / KS2
Our 1ACE (Another Chance Education) provision is for children and young people who have had limited success in formal education, or who have struggled in specialist settings. Our teachers and support workers are specialist trained to work in developing the child.
Our holistic approach boosts confidence, self-esteem and helps our young people to develop skills to be a successful learner. A therapeutic informed approach is used to recognise and reduce barriers to learning and create a personalised curriculum.
We are looking for a Teacher KS1/KS2 to join our friendly team at our 1ACE provisions in Taunton, Somerset . In this role you would be expected to ensure all children and young people within our care are secure and receiving the best possible educational provision and outcomes.
Working alongside the Headteacher you will demonstrate a clear understanding of the challenges of delivering consistent, quality learning opportunities to students with higher and complex needs. The successful candidate will hold QTS.
We are looking for a teacher who has experience in mainstream schools, working with ASD and SEN children, have worked with young people organising and running events/camps/play schemes for large groups of children from pre-school to adults. Ideally, we would like you to have experience of delivering education in an alternative education setting as well as mainstream school.
You will work in community settings where we will require you to create positive and engaging learning environments, there may be need to support in our local Five Rivers Hub Schools, depending on pupil demands to the service
