St John the Baptist School is a Church of England School founded in 1881, located in the Clarendon Park area of Leicester. Although we do not have a fixed catchment area, we aim to provide a primary education within a distinctive Christian context which seeks to serve all members of the school community. Currently over 600 children attend, aged between 4 and 11, speaking over 47 languages at home.
As a school we are committed to enabling all children to achieve their full potential in all areas of their lives. We believe in the unique, individual worth of every child and that all members of our learning community have the right to excellent standards in all areas of the school's life.
We love to use technology, our fantastic outdoor space, forest school and our rich learning environments to enrich the experiences of the children in our lovely school.
A Love of learning, community and happiness are at the heart of our vision for a school that desires to be the very best place for our children to learn, grow and be challenged to be the very best they can be.
If you are absolutely passionate about education, working with amazing young people and innovative practice, you will love life as a St John’s teacher. Come and have a look, visits to school are welcomed.
