We wish to appoint a 1:1 Catch-Up Tutor for Key Stage 2 to join our committed team from January 2021
Sandfield Primary School is part of the Guildford Education Partnership Multi Academy Trust. It is a co-educational school for children aged 4-11 years old situated in the centre of Guildford. We are a popular primary school and families travel from far and near to attend. Our aims are that children will be happy, build a solid foundation of learning and show their skills and talents as they learn to become responsible and caring to one another and the world in which they live.
We are urgently looking for a capable student who would be able to deliver 1:1 English and Maths sessions to Year 6 pupils on a regular basis starting as soon as possible. This would be a short-term contract for a period of less than three months. We are able to offer the successful candidate up to 10 hours each week, these hours can be flexible. This post equates to a minimum of £17,663 to £18,607 full-time equivalent or £4,221 to £4,447 pro rata.
The ideal applicant will a successful academic track record, achieving grades 8 or 9 in English and Maths GCSE level or equivalent. A-Level qualifications are desirable, especially attaining either English or Maths. Previous work experience or voluntary work with young people is also an advantage. Excellent communication skills and a passion for working with children is key, to ensure that all of our pupils make the best possible progress
This role is suitable for an A-Level gap year student.
Applicants will also be fully enhanced DBS checked or willing to undergo a DBS check.
WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION:
Up to 10 hours each week (these can be flexible)
