KS2 Class Teacher
Permanent from January 2021
We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner with a creative approach to teaching to commence a permanent post in January 2019.
This post is for upper KS2 and you will work in partnership with the Phase Team and our new Head and Deputy. If you enjoy challenge, innovation and change, have confidence in your own ability and a good sense of humour, then Epsom Downs is the school for you. All our teachers have subject responsibility unless an NQT. When applying please detail your interest in a subject. You will need to be a highly committed team player, with vision and sound understanding of the strategies required to motivate and inspire our upper KS2 students.
We are also possibly looking for part time (3 days a week) class teacher in lower KS2 for a fixed term contract to the end of summer 2021 to work as part of an experienced job share class teacher post. Please detail which post you are interested in and your experience.
Epsom Downs is a diverse and vibrant Primary School & Children’s Centre set on the edge of the famous Epsom Downs racecourse. We are a large and very well resourced school with outside play areas equipped to the highest standard, a small farm, an off-site Nature World, a Music room, Library, dedicated Media Suite and even an outdoor beach!
Following our last successful Ofsted inspection, the inspectors deemed Epsom Downs Primary School and Children’s Centre as a good school with outstanding features and we are now looking at building on our strengths.
We are looking for creative teaching skills with solid experience in KS2 and you need to have high expectations of pupils’ attainment and behaviour. If you have enthusiasm, commitment and a good sense of humour with the ability to motivate and inspire others then apply to us as soon as possible.
