Salary: Grade D £21,403-£24,055 FTE (Actual Salary £18,308-£20,577)
37 hours per week (7:15am to 3:15pm), term-time only
We are seeking to appoint a Lead Cover Supervisor, responsible for organising and providing high quality classroom cover for absent teachers and managing the workload of the Cover Supervisor team. This is a newly created role and a fantastic opportunity for a confident, flexible, well-organised person with some experience of working with young people to join our supportive teaching team.
Duties will include leading and supporting a small team of Cover Supervisors and regular supply staff to ensure that daily cover is delivered effectively and efficiently; the accurate and timely recording and reporting of staff absence and liaison with external supply agencies; and the delivery of set learning activities to students.
Good communication skills and time management are essential as are excellent IT skills, particularly SIMS and Excel. The successful candidate will also ideally have some prior experience of managing people.
