Salary: Grade G09 – from £24,313 rising to £26,999 pro rata (1 fte)
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week, 7 am – 3 pm Monday to Friday during school term time only (actual salary £21,451 - £23,821)
Required from March 2020, a Lead Cover Supervisor to be responsible for organising teaching staff cover to achieve a high standard of cover lesson. You will also be required to cover lessons and provide learning activities for classes as required.
The successful applicants will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure. You will be responsible for leading the cover supervisor team within the school, including the coordination and organisation of advanced and emergency cover, liaising directly with cover supervisors and other staff, supply staff and agencies to provide exceptional cover lessons.
You will ideally also have classroom management skills and qualities to deliver cover lessons to support and motivate students whilst maintaining a disciplined and purposeful environment. You will have exceptional experience of working with young people aged 11 to 16 in a learning environment.
