We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Estates Manager to join the Mowbray Education Trust Central team. Reporting into the HR & Operations Director you will lead the strategic direction for the maintenance, security and health & safety of the Mowbray Education Trust (MET) sites, including their grounds, buildings, facilities and equipment; ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively, and in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
You will also undertake operational management responsibility for the maintenance, security, and health and safety of John Ferneley College, it’s grounds, buildings, facilities and equipment, ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively.
This role is permanent working 37 hours a week, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Thursday 8:30 am – 16:00 pm Friday, for 52 weeks per year. You will be based at John Ferneley College, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, LE13 1LH.
The successful candidate will be providing support to all schools across the Trust, therefore a full valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle will be required for this role.
You will have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above, you will also have a Health and Safety qualification and have knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection.
You will have good communication and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will be able to manage your own workload and respond swiftly to tight deadlines and the ability to work either as part of a team or with minimal supervision.
About the Mowbray Education Trust
The Mowbray Education Trust (MET) is a multi-academy trust currently educating around 2,500 children from the age of 2 to 16 in the town of Melton Mowbray and surrounding villages in the Borough of Melton. The MET currently has one secondary school, five primary schools and one preschool: with potential numerical and geographical growth in the future.
Melton Mowbray is a rural market town in Leicestershire which is easily commutable from Grantham, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Oakham.
The MET has a central support services team, with staff managing Estates, Finance, HR, IT and Operations, across our schools. The central team are based at offices within John Ferneley College in Melton Mowbray.
• Salary £17.08 - £18.44 per hour - £32,977 - £35,606 per annum (£34,000 - £37,000 with an additional allowance)
