Pivot Academy is expanding, join us!
At Pivot we believe children deserve better. In our Academies we teach and support children and young people from Key Stages 1 – 5 who have been excluded from school, for whom mainstream education is simply not working, or those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to some of the most complex and challenging children, many of whom come to us with some really traumatic backgrounds. We are doing great things – but we have so much more to do.
Even before the pandemic the demand for good quality provision far exceeded supply. The past year has widened the gap even more – and we are stepping up to the challenge.
Pivot Academy at Salus House will open in September 2021, providing additional high-quality capacity for children and young people with complex SEMH and other learning needs and we are seeking a Lead Teacher to join the Senior Management Team and help shape this provision.
Here at Pivot we recognise each of our learners are unique with different experiences and offer a pathway to reflect their individual needs and support success. We have high aspirations for all our learners, and our offer gives them the opportunity to experience and understand the world around them, enables them to achieve to their full potential and equips them with the tools they need to play a successful role in the world beyond school and into adulthood.
As a Lead Teacher, you will play a key role in managing the academy and its staff on a day to day basis. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Teacher who is able to demonstrate commitment to the delivery of high quality education and standards, to be able to provide the best offer for our students. Experience of coaching individuals to ensure positive outcomes will be pivotal to this role, as is the ability to work effectively as part of a team, shaping the student experience at Salus House.
Working at Pivot will give you a real chance to change our student’s lives and we truly believe you will find working here a rewarding experience. This role will provide a great opportunity for an experienced Teacher looking for the next step in their career.
