Applications are invited for a highly motivated, innovative and flexible teacher who has a specialism and a passion to work with pupils with ASD within the new specialist learning support centre at Dŵr y Felin.

Pay – Main Pay Scale plus SEN 2 £4,327
Dŵr y Felin is a highly successful oversubscribed 11-16 Comprehensive School with excellent facilities serving the centre of Neath. The school has an excellent reputation for its academic and pastoral wellbeing. Over the last three years, the school has been awarded Band 1 status followed by national categorisation as a “green” school. After a process of application within the local authority, the school has recently been selected to introduce a new learning support centre dedicated to supporting pupils on the autism spectrum.
The successful candidate must be an outstanding teacher and leader, determined and passionate at raising standards and outcomes for all learners, especially those who are on the autism spectrum. A key feature of this role will be to support the 16 pupils in the facility by ensuring that they have the appropriate provision to meet their needs. The candidate must also be skilled at managing and motivating others, as they will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the centre in conjunction with the ALNCo.
