Lead Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting a Lead Teaching Assistants to join our highly committed Inclusion team. Our ideal candidate be skilled in working alongside teenagers who struggle with aspects of their learning.
This role will suit an experienced and qualified Teaching Assistant, looking for their next step in their career. You will be able to lead a small and busy team of Teaching Assistants who support students with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP) and those with additional needs, individually and in groups, so they can access the curriculum. You will be confident in supporting the TA team with training and development of curriculum content and support strategies.
Our Lead TA will work closely with the SENCO, supporting with tasks including admin for student EHCP’s, Assessments and SEN plans, and preparation of resources for interventions. You will be well organised and confident using the Microsoft suit of programmes. You will work closely with the Teaching team adopting relevant strategies to increase achievement of all pupils, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities.

This post is permanent, term-time only, full-time 36 hours per week. Working hours are likely to be 8.20am to 4pm Monday to Friday, which includes unpaid rest breaks. The actual salary is £17,600 - £19,300 pa Tolworth Girls' School & Sixth Form
