The inspirational head and the talented teachers are conscientious and systematic in their approach. They are also committed to the broader aims of education. Behaviour is excellent. Teaching Assistant (Leader of Learning) in our School Nursery
Required for January 2020
Ideally with experience or an NVQ Level 3 or above qualification but this is not essential
35 hours a week
Term time only
The governors wish to appoint somebody who would love to be part of a team offering outstanding provision to young children in our large school nursery. The post involves working closely with two nursery teachers and taking a lead role with ‘home groups’ of thirteen pupils in both the morning and the afternoon sessions. Hours of work are 08:15 to 15:45, Monday to Friday. This is an ideal post for someone passionate and excited about the joys of working with young children: someone with a diploma in Child Care and Education; someone who wants to find out more about teaching prior to applying for an initial teacher training course; or a teacher who would like to return to teaching but without the responsiblity of being a classroom teacher. Finally the position would be ideal for a candidate with child care responsibilities who would like a job that fits in around their children.
Continuing professional development is one of the strong features of our school and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to acquire and develop new skills and learn about how young children learn.
We have a wonderful nursery environment and our provision is exemplary. This is a highly successful organisation that is committed to continual improvement. We want children to leave our school having achieved high standards in the basic skills. In addition, we wish to inspire them by offering a broad curriculum experience that includes exciting opportunities in the arts, music, computing and sport.
We can offer you a beautiful environment with a newly remodelled area for outdoor learning, including a forest school environment, the very best ‘cutting edge’ resources, great children and the chance to work alongside talented, supportive colleagues.
Visits to the school are both welcomed and encouraged and can be made by telephoning Steph Dennis, the EYFS and KS1 Front of House Manager, on the number given above.
An application pack containing further details about this position can be obtained in the same way. Please look on our website to find out more about our school. We are confident that you will like what you see.
The closing date for applications is: Monday 27th January 2020
A selection process is scheduled for: Tuesday 28th January 2020
