Here at Pivot our vision and passion to grow as a company and provider is stronger than ever. Our purpose is to give all children access to equal choices and chances for life.
Pivot Academy Leeds is a 35 place provision for KS3 and 4 students who are unable to access mainstream education at this time, due to their Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMHD). We work alongside parents, agencies and referring schools to ensure that the children have clear targets. Our primary aim is to ensure that all pupils achieve measured outcomes and are attending school.
We are seeking a resilient, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning and Behaviour Mentor who has experience of working with young people with complex needs. Through innovative, creative and professional practice, you will be able to engage our young people and inspire them to learn new skills and develop their self-esteem.
The postholder would be expected to co-ordinate and address the barriers to learning for either an individual pupil or a targeted group of pupils in order to enable them to achieve their full potential. Although this area of education is challenging we can offer the right candidate a rewarding, supportive and fun working environment. No two days are the same, the pace is very quick and you are encouraged to trial new approaches.
As an organisation, Pivot can offer you:
- The opportunity to enrich the lives of young people and make a positive difference to their futures.
- A free counselling and supervision service for all staff.
- A flexible approach to family appointments.
- A commitment to staff development, including supporting staff to undertake new opportunities, CPD and middle leadership programmes.
- Competitive salaries with room for growth.
- An early finish every Friday.
Become a part of our inspirational Pivot Academy family and join our talented team today! Because children deserve better.
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check and appropriate referencing.
