Employer – West AIP on behalf of the 6 West Leeds High Schools. (West SILC)
Location – West Wedge of Leeds
• Do you want to support in an exciting provision that supports learners from the 6 West Leeds high schools who are marginalised students who continue to struggle to access a mainstream curriculum?
• Do you want to make a difference to children’s lives?
• Are you fulfilled when challenging children succeed?
The high schools within the West Area Inclusion Partnership are working together to provide an alternative to that of a permanent exclusion for learners by developing a curriculum model that meets the needs of these young people and allows them to achieve academic success and good outcomes in a creative and unique way. West 11 works with pupils in KS 3.
We are seeking to appoint the best candidate with the appropriate experience who can support within and outside the classroom environment in both settings with the learners to ensure they get the most out of the lesson and their time in W11. We are keen to hear from people who can interact with young people in unstructured times and promote appropriate play.
Many of the young people are kinaesthetic learners so we are keen to hear from people who can support with this type of learning experience. Are you an avid gardener, sports person or able to motivate and engage pupils through creative ways? If so we would like to hear from you.
West AIP is an equal opportunities employer, committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced CRB check is required for appointment to this post.
