This innovative and successful 11-18 school first opened in September 2004 and has grown year on year. The school currently has over 1400 students in Y7-13, has excellent facilities and is a dynamic learning community.
We need to appoint a Learning Associate to support students both in class and in small groups within the school.
Applications are invited from people who have:
- enthusiasm and a desire to learn;
- the ability to encourage students to become independent;
- the ability to draw out the best in students;
- a broad general education, including a C grade or higher in GCSE English and mathematics (or equivalent)
Applicants do not need to have had experience as a Learning Associate: more important is the genuine commitment to the education of young people. Applicants should be prepared to provide personal care for students with disabilities.
