Do you want to make a difference?
Are you passionate about supporting young people to develop their English and Maths skills? Then we may have the role for you!
Weston College is seeking candidates who can deliver 1:1 and small group tuition and support to students who have not yet achieved their grade 4 in English and Maths.
Based in one of our Maths and English study hubs at each campus, the successful candidates will support learners whose learning and progress may have been disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The role will provide learners with targeted additional support that will take place outside of their normal classes. The learning coach will provide learners with topic and skills-based support to help them bridge any gaps in their understanding so they can achieve a Level 2 qualification or GCSE outcome at grade 4 or above.
Ideally candidates should be qualified to degree-level and have some relevant experience of teaching, private tutoring or learning support. The college is seeking to appoint a number of learning coaches and can offer full- or part-time roles. The roles are fixed for one academic year in the first instance.
Weston College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
