We are excited to announce that our teaching and support team is growing!
Pilgrim Pathways School is an Outstanding alternative provision educating children and young people across four hospital centres based in Fulbourn and Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Pilgrim Pathways School is currently going through some very exciting developments - including a recent name change (formally Pilgrim PRU), new branding and recruitment of a number of new positions. This is a very exciting time for our dynamic and unique school, and for you to join us on our continued journey of delivering excellence in hospital and SEND education.
We are seeking a resilient, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Mentor to work in partnership with our Teachers in Charge and specialist teachers to support and enable young people within our school. This is a brand new role and will be based on the Ida Darwin site. The role will involve working across our three Tier 4 centres and supporting young people from KS2 – KS5.
- Are you able to inspire and engage young people?
- Are you flexible, creative and enterprising?
- Can you remain calm and patient whilst being challenged?
- Are you a team player with a sense of humour?
The role of Learning Mentor enables students to work towards overcoming social, emotional and learning difficulties which act as barriers to learning. They bridge academic and pastoral support roles ensuring that individual pupils and students participate more effectively in their own learning and prepare them well for adult life and independent living. The barriers to learning can be wide ranging and often very personal to the individual pupil. Learning Mentors help to support in overcoming these issues and help them to address what it is that is getting in the way of their learning.
For more information on the school and role, please visit our school website. Alternatively, candidates are welcome to email our Head Teacher, Leah Miller, to arrange an informal discussion.
Pilgrim Pathways School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and all successful candidates will be expected to have a DBS and other relevant employment checks prior to starting. CVs not accepted.
