Learning Support Assistant –
(2 x Part-time positions available – 22.2 hours per week, Term-time only – 38 weeks, Fixed term until July 2020)
We have an opportunity for talented, highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join BCA working as Learning Support Assistants, directly supporting students within our Motor Vehicle Department.
Working alongside specialist tutors and vocational lecturing staff the successful candidates will provide an outstanding learning experience for our students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to offer in-class and, in some instances, out of class support to learners with a range of learning difficulties.
The successful candidates will have knowledge and awareness of a variety of approaches to supporting learners. Experience of similar work with post-16 learners would also be useful. Experience of working within the motor vehicle industry would also be highly desirable, but not essential.
BCA is a popular and expanding FE college with a strong land-based heritage. We have an excellent record of academic and pastoral achievement and pride ourselves in creating a caring and respectful ethos where every student is important. If you have excellent organisational skills, can prioritise your workload and are an active listener who encourages development and champions achievement, you’ll thrive in this learner-focused role.
