St Brendan’s Sixth Form College is situated in the south of Bristol in an exceptional modern campus setting. We provide post-16 education in a sixth form environment underpinned by our Christian values and ideals while welcoming students from all religious and non-religious backgrounds. Learning Support Assistant - Permanent, 35 hours per week, Term Time Only.
The aim of the Learning Development Team is to promote our students’ independence by working with them to adopt strategies and develop skills to enable them to access enrichment opportunities and engage fully in academic study.
The ideal candidate will have several years’ previous experience of working with young people (14-19) including those with additional needs in an educational environment. Applicants must be prepared to provide intimate care to specific students (ie toileting, hygiene, dressing and eating) as well as help with a range of social, emotional, welfare and health matters.
Salary will be on the Support Staff salary spine for Sixth Form Colleges, Grade D on spine points 22 to 25, currently £18,780 - £20,765 per annum, pro rata.
NB: Actual salary £14,870.00 - £16,441.72 pa
